Best Cheesecake in Osaka: Rikuro Ojisan Cheesecake
I have been to Osaka a few times but never bother to taste their famous cheesecake, reason being I am not a cheesecake fan, moreover there are so many good food there.
This round I spent a lot of time inside Osaka Station due to the rainy days. I noticed many people carried the Rikuro Ojisan white paper bag, even men in jacket and suitcase. I wonder what was that. Eventually, I bumped into the long queue in Daimaru Umeda, and I followed the line out of curiosity, there I found Rikuro Ojisan (Uncle Rikuro) shop.
I joined the queue and observed how the bakers there prepared and baked the cakes. Surprisingly, the queue was fast. I got one promotion set of cheesecake and honey swiss roll.
I swear to you that you will fall in love with the cheesecake at first bite! It is smooth like mash mallow but very cottony light and fluffy, it melts in the mouth. Taste wise, it is mild, no overpowering cheese or egg taste. The best part is, it is not too sweet, I can easily eat half of this cake! There is a ring of raisins at the bottom which is their trademark, and this give a lift of sweetness to the cake.
Rikuro Ojisan is a famous bakery chain based in Osaka. Their light, bouncy cheesecakes have long been popular among the gourmet hunters.
